Hunter Valley Daytrip!

Twas a bright sunny day last Sat, so we decided to go to the Hunter Valley for a daytrip!

The drive was good and smooth, took 2.5 hours to get there... So we reached just in time for lunch!

Before that, we stopped at a winery called Tempus Two - nice and modern looking from the outside! Chk out the grape vines!


This is me, all excited being in the country! I've also discovered that my hat comes in handy in the hot sun, so no more protests from me when mummy squashes it on my head! I only pluck it off when I'm in the shade :)

Ahhh, after that, we headed to the Hunter Valley Gardens for some lunch!!!! Argh, mummy still busy taking photos - Can't she see my hungry face?!?!

Ahhh.. finally, finger licking good!

Next, on to some wine tasting! Look, daddy's starting me young on the alco!

Busy week, lotsa new stuff!

It's been an eventful week... in terms of shopping!
Mummy and daddy bought the apartment they were interested in at East Central!
And... the loan has been approved! YAY! So all we need to do now is sign the contract + loan agreement and wait for the property to be settled - which will be the date we take posession of the home! :)
If all goes well we should be able to move in before 1 Dec! I can't wait!!! A brand new place!!!!

Updates!

Grandma #2 is here - I'm supposed to call her "po po" but I can't seem to say anything other than "da da" right now!!!

No new photos to update, as nothing much has happened. No changes in the motor skills dept, nor in the weight dept... I still can't crawl, and weigh a ton!

Anyway, some updates on the child care!!! Remember how there's this carer that I don't like? Her name is Cassandra... Well, she's been given the SACK! Due to poor performance! YAY! They're now looking for a replacement, so staff is slightly short-handed but it's OK because I'm not going that often anyway for the next few weeks! Hopefully they can find someone nice that will take good care of me...

On another note, mummy and daddy's been house hunting. They think they may have found the one! It's a townhouse-style apartment in Botany called East Central. To sweeten the deal, the government has just announced an increase in the first home owners grant from AUD7K to AUD21K! If all goes well with getting financing, I may have my very own home :)

Only thing is that the walkway from the carpark to the unit isn't sheltered, so I'll get wet if it rains! We're going to look at the place again this Sat, will try to snap some pics and post it up! :)

Frequent Blogger!

Haha.. I've been very free over the long wkend to update my blog everyday...

Myer (department store) is having a mid season sale, so mummy, being the smart shopper decided to buy me some dresses for my 1YO birthday! Actually, mummy bought me a dress, then daddy decided to buy me a dress so I ended up with TWO dresses! YAY!

First up, the dress that daddy bought... It's nice and summery, with different hues of pink!
Second up, mummy's dress which she wants me to wear for my first birthday... It's more dressy, but also more princessy looking!
As you can see, daddy is just holding up the dresses against my body.. so I'm not actually wearing them! And, they're meant to be for 1 year olds, so it's still a bit long for me!!!
Oh, on a separate note.. daddy bought me a changing harness! It's to stop me from wriggling when I'm on the change table... hmmph... that takes all the fun out of being changed, doesn't it!
Here I am, trying to figure out how to escape!!!! Didn't manage to get very far, decided to just chew on the belt instead!

SIGH, the nice long weekend is almost over and it's back to child care for me tomorrow... sniffles.

Baby's day out at Market City

Who said it was boring to talk about the weather?!!??!?!
From 38 degrees hot and dry yesterday, to 25 degrees wet and rainy today... !!!!
We decided to spend the day in the city, so we went to Market City in Chinatown for some bubble tea, lunch and games!!!!

We spent almost 4 hours there! Then proceeded to Pinangsia for some "bakmi" noodles and now its bedtime for me! =)

38 degrees!!!!

YUP! It was a HOT 38 degrees today!!!!

Sweltering heat. The air was hot, and dry... felt like I was in a desert!!!!

I'm now typing away dressed in nothing but a t-shirt and diapers! Yeah, it's on display, *sheepish* :)

Boy am I glad the weekend is here!

5 full days at childcare has really taken its toll on me... I woke up feeling flush today! Thought I was getting a fever, luckily it has subsided now. Perhaps it was just the heat! Thankfully I didn't break out with any heat rash!

It's a long weekend coming up due to Labour Day so I don't have to go to child care on Mon!!! YIPPIEEEE!!!!

We've got nothing much planned, but I'm hoping to find a nice Halloween costume... we have a Halloween dress up party at the childcare! What do you think?

All grown up!

It's Day 3 for me at the new childcare, and it's slowly getting better.


I'm beginning to get used to my new carers, Cassandra and Alana.


The nursery is a lot smaller, only 10 babies and I'm one of the younger ones so I get carried a lot more! Still trying to get used to the cot and the different babies around me, but so far so good.


The staff seem to be better at changing and feeding me, so I've not gotten any weird rashes or anything yet!
