Day 6

Wow, a lot has happened in the past week!

Proud to announce that I am officially a BIG sister to baby Isla, who arrived at 7.52pm on Tuesday, 6 March 2012. She weighed 2.8kgs at birth, and measured 48 cm in length.

As you can see from the ticker above, Isla wasn't due to arrive until 22 March, so AGAIN, mummy delivered early!!!

Mummy's water broke at about 4.30pm that day (I remember, coz we were doing some colouring together!) and then she headed to the hospital at about 6pm when the contractions started... and from there, little Isla popped out into the world around 2 hours later!

After staying 3 days in the hospital, mummy came home and here are some pictures of baby Isla at 6 days old!!!

Wide awake in Popo's arms.
Mmm... hungry... need to eat....

Not sure why these pictures are upside down, can't seem to rotate it...

Weighing 3.5kg and measuring 48cm in length @ 6 days!

Ok, I REALLY REALLY NEED FOOD NOW!

Hi!

Smile for the camera! :)

Will update more later... mummy's been so busy with breastfeeding and also I'm sick (fever and cough!) so she has to take care of me as well!!!

P/S A lot of people have commented that Isla looks like me when I was a baby... here are my baby pics when I was about a month old... Do we really look alike?? :)

Birthday party

Attended Ashley's 5th birthday today at Playtown!!!
My favourite pasttime.. EATING! nom nom nom...

Picture of the party room :)
Look, Ashley had the same Angry bird cake as me for her birthday!

Except her cake was BIGGER!
The Playtown was really big, lots of indoor playrooms, here's daddy trying to teach me how to kick a football..

And dunk a basketball hehe.

All in all, a very fun day... it was hard for me to leave!

On a separate note, I'm DONE with all my school interviews.

Have attended interviews at ISF, SIS, CIS, CDNIS, GSIS and HKIS over the last few months... And it has been an exhausting process, both physically and mentally!

So far, I've already received rejection letters from SIS and GSIS, so not really getting my hopes up anymore... The chances are really slim as most schools are oversubscribed by about 10x!!!

The feedback from GSIS was that I was reluctant to speak, and hence they were unable to assess my English - understanding of instruction and fluency of language.

IF ONLY THEY KNEW AND COULD SEE HOW TALKATIVE I WAS AT HOME!!!

Oh well, that's the problem with assessing a 4-year old, it's too subjective given the short amount of time, and the shy ones will be overlooked when compared with louder more vocal kids!!!

Mummy is now looking for smaller, less popular schools which may have vacancies in the upcoming school year. Keep those fingers crossed for me OK! :)
