Aldi

With recession looming around the corner, mummy and daddy are trying to tighten their belts and save that litle bit extra.

So, today, we went grocery shopping at Aldi.

Mummy has a huge aversion to shopping at Aldi, even though their prices are HEAPS cheaper than Coles or Woolies (and the quality of the products are just as good), because they don't provide any shopping bags, which means you have to either wheel the trolley to the car, or bring your own bags! Also, there are only 3 checkout counters, resulting in LONG queues, especially since the average Aldi shopper has their trolleys chock-a-block full.

Today, we loaded up on some essentials, i.e. nappies for moi, $17 vs my usual Huggies Brand $39. We also bought other consumables, i.e. biscuits and bread, etc, all for almost half the price of similar brands in Coles.

Total shopping bill was less than $50 for heaps of stuff!

And... I rode in the trolley for the first time! What a treat!

Here I am, slightly wary, gripping on the the rails.

Hmm, getting cheekier as time passes.
Lunging for the camera!

German Sausages, anyone?

Mummy and aunty foong lin decided to meet up for lunch yesterday, at Bavarian Bierhaus in FOX studios (now called Entertainment Quarter)... They chose that venue because mummy wanted to eat pork knuckles, and she wanted to use the Entertainment Card's Buy1Free1 offer.

She's actually used it before, but the waiter forgot to swipe the card, so she wanted to try her luck and use it again!!!

Here we are, about to go out... I've got my sunnies on... doesn't it make me look like a retro movie star??? Who wears pink sunnies in this day and age?

So off we went to Fox Studios, braving the rain and traffic... Only to find that the Bavarian Bierhaus does not serve pork knuckles!!!!! So we settled for a platter of pork belly, ham and sausages...

And a chicken schnitzel dish (see daddy drowning the chicken in lemon juice)

Poor ol' me had to settle for corn thins (see pic below, I'm holding the whole bag), but i DID have some mash potato.

Fell asleep on the way home, thanks to the rainy weather

I was all hyper once we got home... And tried stealing the remote control from Daddy.
See how greedy I am, trying to steal 2 remote controls at once!
Escaping with my loot...
Caught in the act by mummy (that's my guilty face)...

And tried to stop her by blocking the lens with my little finger!

Didn't do much else after that, Daddy's feeling under the weather, having a bad cough, so we stayed in.

Happy Valentine's Day

Here's a video, of me!!!! I can say Ma-Ma, Dad-dee, Ee-ya!

Too bad I can't say Happy Valentine's Day, but I'm dressed in RED to portray it!!!!

Please excuse mummy, she looks and sounds weird, but she doesn't know how to remove her face from the video.... and there was no time to re-take it because...

We were headed to Kelly's Steakhouse at Bondi Juntion for lunch!

Here's daddy, at the restaurant, looking all excited...

And here's lil ol me, looking all bored... Did a poo-poo shortly after this picture was taken HAHAHA.

We ordered the scotch fillet with pork ribs combo... SO HUGE!!!! A very filling and satisfying meal indeed (for mummy and daddy, that is!)

The next day (today), daddy had to work, so mummy went shopping and bought me...

A pair of sunglasses!!!

And a bunny rabbit soft toy sempena Easter :)

Weather is crazy weird, it's almost as though we've headed straight to winter!!!! It's been about 18-20 degrees the whole of last week , brrrr.... starting to catch a cold~

Weird weather and Melbourne

Hrm, heatwave over the weekend and sudden temperature drop the next day.

It was 20 degrees and COLD today! Compared to 40 degrees last Sat.

Nothing compared to Melbourne though, tragic - so many lives lost in the bushfires.

Speaking of Melbourne... AirAsia having free flights promo!!!! Why oh why don't they fly to Sydney?? If we lived in Melbourne, we could get free tix home.

Mummy did a search for 3 persons flying one way KL - MEL on 31 Dec :
Can get zero fare!!!
After airport tax, etc, only RM300 bucks for 3 ppl!!!

SHEESH! WHY CAN'T AIR ASIA FLY TO SYDNEY TOOO!!!!

VERY TEMPTED TO BOOK IT! But direct flights may be more convenient for lil ol me!!!!

Heatwave!

It's been REALLY hot the last week here in Sydney, and I'm recovering from slight heat rash!!!!

The new apartment is a lot warmer than the old one, simply because it's low rise and split level.

I'm sweating all the time, and daddy thinks it's normal because he remembers being sweaty when he was a baby too!!!!

Here's me in my playpen, all sweaty faced! (See, got a bit of heat rash on my right cheek)

Fell asleep in my playpen, still sweating!

Chewing on my teething toy!!! Still sweating!!!

Now, mummy has to leave the air conditioning on the whole time we're at home, to make sure I don't get anymore heat rash (it started clearing up when the air con was turned on!)

And the child care has found a way to help..... Tying my hair up!!!! Hahahaa.. I look sooooo CHINESE-Y!!!!
