First few days in Hong Kong - updated with photos :)

(Updated this post with Pictures!)

I thought it best to start detailing what we've done over the last few days in Hong Kong.

We arrived on Saturday night, the 18th of September and I was pleased that the serviced apartment was really really nice.
Took a shower, walked my "dog" (nb: daddy's headphones) around and then went to bed!
Here's a picture of our serviced apartment, its a spacious and luxurious 2 bedroom apartment and the housekeeping unit cleans it every single day!

So different from our last week in Sydney where we stayed at the Medina where they only clean once a week! On a daily basis they just make the beds and replace the towels!
The next day, we woke up bright and early and went to explore the city! Daddy needed a hair cut to look nice for his FIRST day at work, and also needed some new work clothes. We just tagged along for the ride.
We spent the whole day walking around Causeway Bay, starting from Times Square, hopping over to Sogo then finishing up at Jardines Crescent. Phew... so tiring!

Then, on Monday, there was a typhoon warning (typhoon Fanapi) so it was POURING buckets of rain... the rain only stopped on Wednesday, so - you guessed it - stayed at home most of the time. Had to go out briefly to do some errands on Tuesday, ie apply for our HKID card, interview the potential helper, open our HSBC bank account,.. sigh, I got drenched!

Wednesday evening, which was the eve of Mid Autumn Festival, we went to check out the Lantern festival at Victoria Park.. and discovered more little shops around Causeway Bay, ie Island Fashion and Windsor House (they have a Toys R Us in here!!!)
Can you see my little lantern???

Plenty of kids shops in Windsor House *happiness*

Thursday, was the Mid Autumn festival.. so it was back to Causeway Bay for more shopping and eating. We also popped by Ikea to buy furniture for our new helper (the one we interviewed). Her name is Noeme and she'll be starting next week! At night, we hopped on the MTR to Tsim Tsa Tsui to get daddy a new laptop bag from Crumpler @ Silvercord.

Then today, mummy brought me to the local pre-school called PIPS to enrol me for Kindy year 1 (K-1 as they called it). Sadly, I'll be the only kid in the class who is not fully toilet trained yet, but mummy is optimistic I'll be fine by the time I start (at least, that's what she keeps reassuring the staff there LOL)... So far, I'm quite good at using the toilet for a no. 1 - it's the no. 2 that's a bit harder for me :(

Nice or not my uniform??? Had to buy size 6 coz the size 4 was a bit tight!!! *shy*

Anyways, we have to go now to meet the curtain guy, he's going to help put some curtains in our apartment. Today, we will be selecting fabrics and colours for the room! How exciting!
\
Update: Here's the curtain I selected (forgot to rotate the pic)

Further Update: After selecting curtains, we stopped by the Playground and the air was so fresh and crisp!

Check out the mountain view in the background :)

Life in Hong Kong

Sorry my dear readers,

I've been neglecting this blog for a little while as I've just moved to Hong Kong and I'm still trying to settle into the new lifestyle and routine.

Will update soon enough, in the meantime, Happy Mid Autumn Festival!

Homeless!

Our house has been leased!
It had its first inspection today and a firm offer came in within the hour!

Our tenant will be starting the lease on the 18 September so we'll officially be homeless then!
Bye Bye Home... I hope that the tenant will take good care of you!

What an easy job for the real estate agent! And for us too! One less thing for us to worry about now ;)

P/S Mummy just spent the last 2 hours removing all the child proof locks from all the drawers and doors, her fingers are so sore now! These child proofing things sure don't come off easily!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!!

We had a "early" Father's day celebration last night for Daddy.
Opted for some German food at Bavarian Bier Cafe in the Entertainment Quarter :)
Here's our "normal smile pose"!
"Surprised face pose"
"Sad face pose"

Candid shot! OK, enough of that... time for some colouring!
Ahh, gonna miss these kid-friendly cafes and restaurants!
Look, daddy drawing my hand!

Finally, the FOOD have arrived...
Look at that... pork knuckles and swiss schnitzel!
Another candid shot! Haha, classic "deer in headlights" shot!
The End!
Hope you had a good night daddy! We *heart* ya!

Hong Kong!

We were AWOL in Hong Kong last week for a short holiday cum work (for Daddy!)
Surprisingly, I was quite good on the 9 hour flight! Managed to sleep MOST of the way heheeh.

Here we are, enjoying the lounge.. I look like I'm about to jab daddy with my knife!

We have arrived!!!! In the land of the fragrant!
We stayed at the Island Shangri-La and it was pure LUXURY!!!
Check out the view from our hotel, it's the mid levels and the Peak!

Had my hair cut in Causeway bay... I think my fringe is too layered though!

Freshly cut hair! Walking around the Times Square mall...

Saw Nicole David as we walked past the Squash Centre! She was there for some tournament which she won!

Went up to the Peak on a Friday night...

View from the Peak at night... breathtaking on a clear day!
Went to Disneyland on a VERY HOT Saturday... On the MTR - Disneyland line! Notice anything different with the windows??? :P

Check out the Mickey Mouse handles!

Some horse carousel ride!

Practising my "surprised" face

So hot! Cooling down with some Mickey Mouse ice cream~!

Eating my Mickey Mouse jelly.. slurp slurp!

Trying on some Minnie Mouse ears hehehe...

Had afternoon tea at The Lobby in the Peninsula Hotel on a relaxing Sunday afternoon :)

Me with my Mickey Mouse hat in IFC Mall!

And here I am, getting ready for a dip in the pool with mummy...!

All in all, it was a really nice and relaxing trip... But it's going to be a hectic couple of weeks ahead for us! :)
