Cupcake project

Mummy offered to bring cupcakes for an upcoming Xmas party at my friends house recently.

Having NEVER baked before in her life, she thought it wise to just buy an instant mix.

Check it out, comes with the cake mix, the icing, heart sprinkles and the cake cups!
HKD40 per box, makes 12 cupcakes.. what a steal!

Figured, it would be prudent to do a trial run and test out the cupcakes before the actual event.

Hehe, didn't take any photos of the mixing process, but ta-dah... here's the final product!

Considering we didn't have a proper electric mixer, I think it turned out pretty well :)

I was in charge of the sprinkles!
Look Popo and Ah Mah, my cheek's all better now!!! :)

Decorating my cupcake with sprinkles!!!

And here's one for daddy too!!! Does it look like the picture on the box???

Success! Looks like we won't be turning up empty handed to the Xmas party :)))
Next, mummy's gonna buy us a proper electric mixer so we can try making cupcakes and icing from scratch!
Sure beats paying HKD300 / dozen cupcakes at the shops! *smug* :D

Of mozzy bites and allergies

My topic is totally unrelated to the post, but it will help to explain why the my right cheek is swollen and twice the size of the left one in all the photos you see below :(

Ah mah, kong kong and aunty peg jee were here for a visit, so the weekend was packed with a touristy itinerary.

We started the day off with dimsum at Jumbo kingdom, a floating restaurant in Aberdeen. It's quite cool, as we get to sit a little ferry to get to the restaurant.

Here we are, bright and early at the pier!

On the 5 min ferry ride :P

View of the floating restaurant.. think it's been around since the 1950s???

The food was good, and bookings are recommended as the place was packed full of tourists (by the tour bus loads)!!!

There are also nice photo opps, like this one..

And this one!

After the nice lunch, we headed to nearby Ocean Park for some fun.

Going up the many escalators in the park... !
Reached the top!

Spotted a seal...
Taking a ride on the Tower...

Some dolphin show... not bad, but I think the Sea World one was better! :P
Flowerpot...

Train ride...

The next day was Daddy's birthday (Happy Birthday Daddy!) so we went to Cafe Deco at the Peak for lunch.

Daddy scored a free sundae and I scored some free balloons!

Family shot at the Peak Lookout.

At night, we had dinner at this Jap restaurant in Tsim Tsa Tsui, called Hoka Hoka.

Check out the sushi platter...

Wait a minute.. what's that?! My shrimpys!

Walked to the Arena of Stars after dinner. Too bad we missed the daily light show, but we did manage to catch a ferry from TST back to Central which was nice.
Aunty Peg Jee and kong kong posing with Bruce Lee..

Me and mummy :)))
Me and aunty peg jee :)
Here's aunty peg jee trying to stop me from crossing the barrier...
Can safely say I didn't let that happen... they don't call me little miss stubborn for nothing! :P
Hi, aunty Peg jee!!!

When we got home, there was more cake waiting for daddy!!! One from mummy and one from Aunty Noeme~~~~
I'm just excited, coz more candles for me to blow!
Final family pic for the night!!!
The end :)

Tombliboo

Not much blog material, so here's a picture of my drawing...

Can you see?

Do you know who it is?

That's right... It's the Tombliboo from "In the Night Garden" kkekeke.

Does my drawing look like the picture above? I may have added more hair to it LOL.

Halloween Post - Part 3

Hi!
To finish off the final post of our Halloween trilogy, we decided to celebrate mummy's birthday by going to The Peak for dinner!

I thought I would spice up my costume with some devil horns...

Roarrrh... be afraid, be VERY afraid Daddy!

Mummy made dinner reservations at Bubba Gump Shrimp coz it sounded relatively family friendly, and please note the word "relatively"... details later.
We have arrived at the Peak! Inside the Peak Galleria there was a mini display of... "The History of Dim Sum" LOL!
Only in Hong Kong eh!
Decided to camwhore with some cute dim sums!

Spotted some humongous Mickey and Minnie mouse balloons outside this shop... tempted me to be suckered in to touch!
Here we are, waiting for our table at the restaurant...
The night was still young, because the only dinner reservation slot available was 5.30pm!!!

I scored a free balloon with my fairy charms, yay!

Enjoying some of mummy's Halloween spooky drink...
Do you see the spider hanging off the glass rim?

I thought I could eat it! nom nom...

Hmm, doesn't taste too good.
Oh, it's actually a ring! Oops, silly me!

Here's what we ate...
Onion ring appetizers...
Spicy cajun chicken with blue cheese dipping sauce.

Shrimp platter - shrimp done 4 ways : coconut shrimp. tempura shrimp, popcorn shrimp and normal boiled shrimps!

Last but not least, shrimp stuffed with crab meat, on a bed of rice.
We were stuffed by the end of the meal! (No pun intended)

Check out the gorgeous view from our table... clear view of the city and Victoria Harbour.
Mummy had Mid-Levels envy again.

Suddenly... I noticed that the waiters were wearing scary costumes!
There was one really scary waiter which totally spooked me out!
The relatively family friendly environment quickly dissipated and I insisted, no ... I wailed to be removed from the scene immediately!

Mummy tried to pacify me by letting me sit on her lap... nope, didn't work.
Still scared, so I decided to just stare out the window.

Still terrified.. I don't wanna look up.
Scared scared...
Sad face... me, not mummy!
In the end, we had to skip desert and "run" out of the restaurant.. hehe pun intended!
Daddy thought it was wrong not to have a birthday cake, so he went out later that night to get some from the nearby bakery...

Lighting the candles...
So that mummy would have a chance to sing birthday song and make a wish!

Family shot! I was already in my pajamas... LOL. Mummy also.
Unbeknownst to mummy, Aunty Noeme also bought her a cake, so mummy had 2 birthday cakes! How nice!

We got to sing mummy another birthday song.

What a sweet ending to a lovely night! Aren't I punny today.
